My family has been to Disney in Florida 6 times. It is somewhere we really enjoy going.
We used to drive, but I like flying much better. I think getting credit cards through the airlines is a good way to get frequent flyer miles. It is much better to me to get there quicker, and driving is pretty expensive also.
When you fly there if you are staying at the resort then they will pick you up and take you back to the airport for free.
We stay at the value resort. They are the most child friendly and our family has always had a great time. I have visited the other resorts, and don't think that a lot of the stuff is very convenient.
We stayed at the value movie resort, and since it has opened we have stayed most at pop century. This one is my favorite. Everything is conveniently placed. The buses have been best for us from there. That is the only hotel for the bus, where if you pick the other value resorts the bus is shared between them. So you know at pop century you are the only hotel the bus is going to.
Pop Century is cool. It has toys and things from all the years, 50s, 60s, and so on. It is neat to go around and look at all of the different things at the different years. There are hot wheels, yo-yos, Rubik's cube and many more. The stuff is neat to look at and take pictures around.
The pools are nice. There are a couple of pools, and a tiny place where water shoots up in different spots and the kids can run through it.
The value resorts are pretty reasonable to stay at. The rooms are around 130 or so a night. That is not bad for Disney, and they are nice. During certain times of the year you can also get your meals included for free. You get a quick breakfast and dinner and some snacks for each person. The deals change at different times. We had more food then we could eat. We ended up getting a bunch of stuff to take home in our luggage. We turned everything we had left in for snacks, and they let you substitute 3 snacks for one meal. We ended up with a bunch left. We always ate well.
Tomorrow I will post about the parks and downtown......
